NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. – The South Dakota State women’s golf team carded a 298 in the first round to grab a 13-stroke lead in the UNO Invitational, which began Friday at the 6,090-yard, par-72 ArborLinks.
Northern Iowa is second at 311.
The Jackrabbits’ Teresa Toscano is tied for second after firing a 1-over-par 73. She is three strokes behind the leader. Toscano had an eagle on the first hole of the tournament and collected three birdies.
Sydney Bormann (74) sits in fourth, Cassidy Laidlaw (75) is tied for fifth, Maria Seeman (76) is tied for seventh.
The second round was suspended and will resume today at 8 a.m., followed by the final round.
