BOYS JV

BROOKINGS – The Rangers remained unbeaten with an 11-0 defeat of Brandon Valley on Wednesday.

They outshot the Ice Cats 51-8.

Owen Schneider totaled seven points with four goals and three assists.

Zach Struck added six points – four goals and two assists.

Trenton Pederson netted a hat trick while adding a helper.

Gavan Stewart and Jack Merritt both dished out a pair of assists and David Brink added one.

Kaden Gutormson made eight saves to post the shutout.

Brookings has a 4-0 record.

GIRLS JV

BROOKINGS – Aberdeen topped the Rangers 7-0 on Sunday.

The Cougars’ Raniesa Mattke (assist) and Alyssa Roehrich both scored twice. Ellen Orr stopped 15 shots.

BANTAM A

Brookings picked up a pair of 11-0 victories

BROOKINGS – The Rangers outshot the Lakers 66-4 on Saturday.

Jacob Kahle notched a hat trick and added an assist.

Jay Harris (assist) and Cooper Deatherage both found the back of the net twice.

Ren Jacobsen (three assists), Luke Honkomp (two assists), Talon Hyde (assist) and Jackson Heller each scored once. Carson Odde, Aidan Austreim and Tre Christopherson dished out assists.

Egan Jensen logged four saves for the shutout.

 Brookings 11, Yankton 0

YANKTON – Kahle (two assists), Deatherage and Christopherson each scored twice in Sunday’s action.

Honkomp and Riley Linstad both tallied playmakers while also scoring a goal. Heller had three assists, as well.

Odde (assist), Harris and Jacob Law chipped in with goals. Jacobsen, Austreim and Cody Jacobson logged assists.

Jensen stopped 15 shots.

BANTAM B

BROOKINGS – The Rangers and Lakers played to a 4-4 draw on Saturday.

Andrew Hahn and Waylon Carroll found the back of the net twice.

Ryder Anderson notched an assist.

Nathan Brecher made 45 saves.

GIRLS 14U

The Rangers posted a perfect 3-0 weekend.

Brookings leads the league with a 6-0-1-0 record.

BROOKINGS – Miyah Foerster and Taryn Richter both lit the lamp twice in Friday’s game.

Ashton Otteson and Payton Triplett had assists.

Rorii Quam logged 11 saves to post the shutout.

 Brookings 5, Sioux Falls 1

SIOUX FALLS – In Saturday action, five different Rangers lit the lamp.

Foerster (assist), Ava Kahle (assist), Anna Rasmussen (assist), Shauna Pederson and Richter all scored.

Kinzey Grendler added an assist.

Quam stopped 21 shots.

 Brookings 4, Aberdeen 3

BROOKINGS – The Rangers pulled out the one-goal victory Sunday to complete the weekend sweep.

Foerster led the way with a pair of goals.

Richter had a goal and an assist.

Otteson also scored, while Kahle, Julissa Peterson and Rasmussen dished out assists.

Quam notched nine saves.

PEEWEE C

Brookings bounced back from a 2-1 loss to Watertown on Saturday with a 10-0 shellacking of Yankton on Sunday.

BROOKINGS – Ashton Baker scored on an assist from Mauer Bartley in the second period.

Neil Trygstad had nine saves.

 Brookings 10, Yankton 0

YANKTON – The Rangers held a commanding 83-4 advantage in shots.

Tryston Hostler racked up five goals. Andrew Haufschild had a hat trick with three tallies, while Chasen Kastner and Bartley both scored once.

Isaac Andal notched a playmaker with three assists. Ashton Baker dished out two helpers and Weston Baker, Hostler and Emerson Cramer added one apiece.

Trygstad stopped four shots.

SQUIRT A

BROOKINGS – The host Rangers went 3-1-1 and placed second in the Dakota Premier Classic over the weekend at Larson Ice Center.

Friday

 Sioux Falls Blue (1) 8, Brookings 0

The Flyers beat the Rangers in the tournament’s opening game.

 Brookings 3, Sioux City Gold 2

Ethan Foerster, Jack Lovseth and Colt VanMaanen each scored for the Rangers.

Lovseth, VanMaanen and Carter Nielsen logged assists.

Jon Drew made four saves.

Saturday

 Brookings 2, Sioux Falls Blue (2) 2, tie

Nielsen scored in the second and third periods.

Cannon Friedrich and Un Hyeng Keay had assists.

Drew stopped 11 shots.

 Brookings 5, Omaha Jr. Mavs 3

Nielsen helped seal the victory with a pair of third-period goals.

Foerster, Keay and Lovseth also lit the lamp.

VanMaanen had an assist.

Drew notched a trio of saves.

Sunday

 Brookings 5, Omaha Jr. Mavs 0

Drew totaled 10 saves to post the shutout in the finale.

Five different Rangers – Lovseth, VanMaanen, Friedrich, Tegan Jensen and Foerster – lit the lamp, with all the goals coming in the second stanza.

Colin Jacobson had an assist.

SQUIRT B

BROOKINGS – The host Rangers lost four times and took sixth in the Dakota Premier Classic over the weekend at Larson Ice Center.

Brookings fell 12-0 to Sioux Falls on Friday, 8-0 to Lincoln U10 Travel and 7-0 to Tri-City Jr. Storm U10 Travel on Saturday and 5-1 to Tri-City Jr. Storm U10 Travel in the fifth-place game Sunday.

Jasper Pitts scored on an assist from Allie Jacobson in the finale.

Ty Harris stopped 20 shots in the opening matchup. Warner Carrol made 56 saves over the final three contests.
