SIOUX FALLS – Sioux Falls Lincoln put all seven of its runners in the top 11, including five in the top seven, to cruise to the team title and Aberdeen Central junior Aaron Ryan topped the individual field with a time of 15 minutes, 31.73 seconds at the Class AA State Boys’ Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Yankton Trail Park.

Lincoln boys dominate Class AA meet

SIOUX FALLS – Sioux Falls Lincoln put all seven of its runners in the top 11, including five in the top seven, to cruise to the team title and Aberdeen Central junior Aaron Ryan topped the individual field with a time of 15 minutes, 31.73 seconds at the Class AA State Boys’ Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Yankton Trail Park.

The Patriots finished with just 22 points.

Rapid City Stevens was a distant second at 103 and Aberdeen Central (112) ended up third.

Andrew Lauer (15:35.46), defending-champion Jack Elliott (16:01.86) and Sam Elliott (16:07.87) were second through fourth, respectively. Gabe Fendrich (16:15.65) placed sixth and Zeb Mendel (16:18.99) took seventh to round out Lincoln’s team tally. Ryan Schroeder (16:43.15) ended up 10th and Grant Graber (16:46.22) 11th.

Brookings took 15th with 391 team points.

Isaac Conrad led the way by taking 62nd in 18:06.19.

Nick Diersen (18:28.01) was 77th, Sam Conrad (18:33.95) 80th, Quentin Eck (18:42.18) 85th and Ian Smith (18:46.94) 87th to complete the team score.

Also for the Bobcats, Daniel Messerli (19:08.24) took 97th and Kobe Bowser (20:06.71) 112th.
