On Jan. 8, 2021, Mercedes “Peggy” Carol Sneve died.
 Born on June 21, 1925, to William and Cora Sneve, she grew up in Sinai. She married Ervine Pederson, and they had three children.
 Peggy’s life was focused on God, family, and service to others.
 Later in life, she married Carl Freyberg and welcomed his family.
 She is survived by her daughter Paulette (Lyle) Terveen, son Shawn Pederson, stepchildren Wayne (Teressa) Freyberg and Carolyn (James) Wakeman, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Carl Freyberg, stepdaughter Kathy Medrano, son Vaughan Pederson, parents Bill and Cora Sneve, and brother Stanton Sneve.
 A small, private graveside service and burial will take place, with a celebration of life service TBA this summer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Feeding South Dakota and The Sioux Falls Humane Society.
