Miller honored twice

BROOKINGS – Just two games into her return to the court, South Dakota State’s Macy Miller was honored as The Summit League and College Sports Madness Summit League Mid-Major Player of the Week on Monday.

The guard averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game in a pair of wins over NJIT and George Washington. Miller also shot 68 percent (17-of-25) from the field and 50 percent (4-of-8) from 3-point range.

In the season opening win against NJIT, Miller led five Jackrabbits in scoring with 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field.

In the Jackrabbits’ thrilling overtime win at George Washington Sunday, Miller tallied 20 points, five rebounds and a career-high seven assists. She shot 61.5 percent from the field and 60 percent from 3-point range.

Miller has been named Summit League Player of the Week five times and twice by College Sports Madness.
