Milton “Milt” McKeown, 72, died Monday June 11, 2018.
Milt was diagnosed with cancer several years ago and fought the disease courageously until his death on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 15, at the LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom, Minnesota.
Milton “Milt” McKeown was born on Nov. 28, 1945, in Hendricks, Minnesota, to the late Everett Boyd and Fern Elizabeth (Wiskur) McKeown.
He attended St. Mary’s Catholic school from first-eighth grade and graduated from Elkton High School in the Class of 1963.
On July 27, 1974, Milt married Deborah Kay Lewis in Mankato, Minnesota, and they had a son, Brodie.
Local residents among his survivors were three brothers, Gary (Peggy) McKeown of Brookings, Terry (Jeanine) McKeown of Brookings and Rick (Rea) McKeown of Brookings.
