Rochelle Schotzko, 68, of Sioux Falls, died May 12, 2018, at Ava’s Hospice House.
Visitation is from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, at Miller Funeral Home—Westside Chapel (6200 West 41st Street, Sioux Falls) with burial to follow at Sterling Cemetery in rural Brookings. Eidsness Funeral Home of Brookings is handling the arrangements.
Rochelle Schotzko was born on Nov. 28, 1949, to Kenneth and Edith (Johnson) Moen in Brookings.
Rochelle was raised in Sioux Falls, and graduated from Washington High School in 1968. After graduation, Rochelle enrolled at South Dakota State University, where she met her future husband Craig Schotzko. Rochelle and Craig were married in Brookings in 1970, and in 1978 they moved to Sioux Falls. The couple lived in Sioux Falls until her time of death.
Rochelle enjoyed many hobbies, including gardening, feeding birds, tending to flowers, and loved being outdoors.
She also enjoyed spending time at the lake cabin and loved spending time with her granddaughters.
Rochelle worked as an aide in the Early Childhood program of the Sioux Falls School System.
She is survived by her husband, Craig Schotzko, of Sioux Falls; daughters: Stefanie Schotzko of Sioux Falls, and Stacy (Dan) Helmbrecht of Sioux Falls; two grandchildren; and a brother, Kennon (Jane) Moen.
Rochelle was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Edith Moen.
