Ruth Lofgren of Minneapolis passed away March 30, 2020. Born April 8, 1924 in Brookings, SD to Roy and Gladys Ullman, who farmed outside of Brookings. Ruth attended grade school in a one-room school house a mile or so from the family farm and graduated from Brookings HS and from South Dakota State U. Married John Lofgren of Sioux Falls and Brookings on August 13, 1944, at Camp Howze, TX. Preceded in death by her spouse John and siblings Leroy, Vernon, Doris, Winston, Lois, and Janice.
Survived by daughters Sandra Christine, Virginia Susan, Mary Janice, and Joanne Ruth; six grandchildren, Christofer, Eric, Nancy, and Stuart Dorn, and Sonja and Jack Sutter.
We will miss her and treasure her memory. Private memorial gathering to be scheduled with inurnment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery Columbarian. We also want to express our great appreciation to Catholic Eldercare for the wonderful love and attention given to Ruth during her last years.
