DES MOINES, Iowa – South Dakota State had two student-athletes kick off the weekend at the Drake Relays on Thursday night.
Emily Berzonsky led things off with the first 10,000-meter race on the women’s side this season, finishing 18th out of 26 competitors in 38 minutes, 32.58 seconds. It is her fourth career attempt in the event.
Micah Mather wrapped up the short night for the Jackrabbits with a run in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. He finished 14th out of 21 competitors with a time of 9:20.37, his second-best time of the season.
