ELMHURST, Illinois-For the third time in her career, senior Megan Mingo of the South Dakota State women's golf team has been named The Summit League Women's Golfer of the Week Wednesday.

Mingo led the Jackrabbits at the Lady Thunderbird Invitational March 16-17. She finished second, shooting a six-under par 138 (68-70) on the par-72, 6,092-yard Sunbrook Golf Course on the Black Rock & The Point. She tied the school record for 18 holes and broke the school record for 36 holes.

The Jackrabbits won the event, shooting a school-record 564 (282-282) and winning by 11 strokes. State's 18 holes scores also broke the school record.

For the season, the Yankton, native leads the Jackrabbits and ranks third in The Summit League with a 74.0 stroke average.

In addition to her three league golfer of the week honors, Mingo is also a two-time Summit League Golfer of the Month.

This season, Mingo, seniors Hallie Getz and Islamiah Fuad and freshman Teresa Toscano have all been named Summit League Golfers of the Week.
