Shane Jordan Knutson, 31, of Estelline died June 29, 2018, at his home.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Geise Funeral Chapel in Estelline. Visitation is Thursday , from 5-7 p.m. at 310 Main Street. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the American Legion Hall, located at 222 S. North Main, Estelline.
He was born June 18, 1987, in Brookings, the son of Larry and Betty (Aarestad) Knutson. He attended Estelline schools and graduated from Estelline High School May 2006. Following graduation, he enrolled at WyoTech in Laramie, Wyoming, where he received his collison repair, rrim and upholstery technology training. He graduated June 2007.
Among his hobbies were auto racing, fishing, horseback riding, cooking and hunting. He was an excellent marksman, who enjoyed spending time with his two beloved dogs, Rocky and Minnie.
Shane is survived by his parents, Larry and Betty of Estelline; his brothers, Scott of Watertown and Steve of Estelline; his sisters Shari (Lawrence) Miller of Chico, California, and Sonya (William) Eckel of New Braunfels, Texas.
He leaves behind a niece and six nephews. He is also survived by his close friends Shawn Kasperson and Jenna of Hankinson, North Dakota, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
