MILBANK – Sioux Valley posted a 3-1 record to win the Milbank volleyball tournament on Saturday.
Game One
• Sioux Valley 2, Mobridge-Pollock 1
28-26, 21-25, 25-19
Kaedyn Sapp had 12 kills and Reagan Johnson had 10 as the Cossacks defeated Mobridge-Pollock.
Kasey Pistulka’s 29 set assists were a game-high.
Pistulka also recorded four service aces, while Keyra Kruse added two.
Ashley Bjerke and Talya Vincent had 17 and 16 set assists, respectively.
Game Two
• Groton 2, Sioux Valley 1
25-18, 13-25, 25-23
Johnson’s 12 kills and Sapp’s eight weren’t enough as Groton picked up a three-set win.
Adison Renkly had three blocks - one solo and two assists.
Pistulka recorded a pair of aces along with 30 digs.
Game Three
• Sioux Valley 2, Sisseton 0
25-15, 25-21
Sapp had seven kills and both Kruse and Johnson added three as the Cossacks swept Sisseton.
Julia Steffensen, Bjerke, and Johnson each had two service aces.
Championship Game
• Sioux Valley 2, Miller 1
25-22, 17-25, 25-23
Bjerke (12) and Johnson (11) combined for 23 kills as Sioux Valley’s three-set win earned the Cossacks the tourney championship.
Bjerke also added a pair of service aces and had 16 set assists, and Vincent added 11 assists.
Pistulka (17) and Johnson (10) led the Cossacks in digs.
Kruse tallied four blocks - two solo and two assists.
