BROOKINGS – Shawn Stemsrud, a music education major at South Dakota State University, will hold his senior vocal recital at 7 p.m. Nov. 22 in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the SDSU campus.

Stemsrud to hold senior recital at S.D. State

BROOKINGS – Shawn Stemsrud, a music education major at South Dakota State University, will hold his senior vocal recital at 7 p.m. Nov. 22 in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the SDSU campus.

Stemsrud, a baritone from Stockholm, South Dakota, will perform “The Songs of Travel” by Ralph Vaughan Williams. He will be assisted by Deb Kalsbeck on piano.

Stemsrud was named one of four students selected for the 2021 National American Choral Directors Association’s Undergraduate Conducting Masterclass.
