MARICOPA, Ariz. – South Dakota State women’s golf is in second place through two rounds of play at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in Maricopa, Ariz.
The Jackrabbits posted a 290 in the first round followed by a season-low 4-under 284 in the second round. State’s 574 (-2) is just three strokes behind Grand Canyon who is in first with 571 (-5). New Mexico State is in third at 3-over 579.
Teresa Toscano was tied for 13th after carding a 72 (E) through the initial 18 holes. The senior recorded five birdies and an eagle to finish the second round at 5-under 67. She improved to tie for second through 36 holes with 139 (-5).
Not too far behind is Mia Seeman who sits tied for seventh with 144 (E). She was tied for sixth after the first round with 1-under 71 before firing a 73 (+1) in the second round. Hester Sicking was also tied for sixth after the first 18 holes. She shot a 75 (+3) in the second round and is tied for 13th with 146 (+2) through 36 holes.
Cassidy Laidlaw is tied for 23rd with 76-72—148 (+4). Competing as an individual, Lani Potter is tied for 13th with 72-74—146 (+2).
