The Brookings General Federation of Women’s Clubs will present its eighth annual Uptown Girls Craft Show on Oct. 28 at the First Lutheran Church Gym on Eighth Street and Main Avenue. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the show ends at 2 p.m.

The Brookings General Federation of Women’s Clubs will present its eighth annual Uptown Girls Craft Show on Oct. 28 at the First Lutheran Church Gym on Eighth Street and Main Avenue. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the show ends at 2 p.m.
There will be 21 returning vendors and six new vendors selling their finest artisan and handcrafted items. The South Dakota vendors at this show are from Arlington, Brookings, Elkton, Estelline, Hayti, Volga, Watertown and White.
New this year will be the public’s chance to win a door prize. Stop by the GFWC table to enter the drawing.
The Mission Coffee House will be serving soups and sandwiches for lunch along with the Mission’s famous frosted cinnamon rolls.
The GFWC will be continuing its community service goal of helping to reduce school lunch debt at the Brookings School District. The club is very close to reaching its goal of matching $500 in sales of homemade snacks and accepting monetary donations.
