Sioux Valley School Board

The Sioux Valley School District Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the school library media center. Items on the agenda include:

• Introduction and first reading on an ordinance amending Section 16(F) of Ordinance 21-028, and pertaining to prohibited locations for licensing as medical cannabis establishments: Public hearing and action: July 26

• Public hearing and action on an ordinance to change the zoning within the Joint Jurisdictional Area surrounding the City of Brookings (a portion of 3707 Main Ave. S.)

• Public hearing and an ordinance pertaining to an application for a conditional use to establish a mixed business / residential use in a Business B-3 Heavy District (known as 129 Main Ave. S.). 

• Public hearing and action on an ordinance to change the zoning within the City of Brookings (Lots 1-8 in Block 4 of Hill Park Addition)

• Public hearing and action on a Commercial Corridor design review overlay district site plan for 129 and 133 Main Ave. S. 

• City Council member introduction of topics for future discussion
