Artificial intelligence, internet for minors committee to meet in Pierre

PIERRE — The Study Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Regulation of Internet Access by Minors will hold its first meeting of the 2024 Interim on June 18 at 9 a.m.

The meeting is being conducted via electronic conference and in Room 414 of the State Capitol in Pierre to allow for both remote and in-person participation.

The committee, co-chaired by Sen. Steve Kolbeck (R-Brandon) and Rep. Mike Weisgram (R-Fort Pierre), will receive presentations from the Department of Education, the National Conference of State Legislatures, Dakota State University, and Tech Net.

Helene Duhamel (R-Rapid City), David Johnson (R-Rapid City), Liz Larson (D-Sioux Falls), Jim Mehlhaff (R-Pierre), Michael Walsh (R-Rapid City), and David Wheeler (R-Huron); and Reps.
