DE SMET — On July 1, an asphalt surfacing project on state Highway 25 from the north city limits of De Smet to the north junction on state Highway 28 is set to begin.
The project consists of asphalt concrete resurfacing and permanent pavement markings. Motorists will be guided through the work zones with a pilot car and flaggers. Motorists are asked to be aware of equipment and workers when traveling through the work zones.
The prime contractor for this $9 million construction project is Asphalt Paving & Materials Co. of Huron.
