BROOKINGS — The Brookings Wildlife Federation will host Bob Kurtz at its Sept. 6 Infolunch at noon at the Brookings County Outdoor Adventure Center, 2810 22nd Ave. S. A buffet lunch will be available for a free will donation.

Kurtz has a travel show titled “What We Did This Summer.” The show is filled with pictures of the wildlife and landscape from South Dakota to Alaska.

Kurtz will show photos and tell stories about his six-week vacation that includes three days of riding ATVs in the Black Hills, then traveling to Alaska on a six-day road trip. In Alaska, he spent three weeks with family and took photos of wildlife and the Alaskan outback.

Kurtz said, “We took a gorgeous three-day ferry ride back to the lower 48.” He traveled on The Alaska Ferry that sails the National Scenic Byway, one of only 27 U.S. highways to receive the nation’s highest designation as an All-American Road.

After a stop in the Snake River Valley in Boise, Idaho, he returned to the Black Hills and then drove his UTV on a very gorgeous 430-mile ride across South Dakota on some roads less traveled.
