BROOKINGS – The Brookings Bobcats competed in their first meet of the year as they took part in the Ruth Marske Invitational at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The boys finished 19th with six points at the invite while the girls did not have a team score.
The Bobcats had an impressive showing in the boys’ triple jump with Jordan Mofle finishing fifth at 38-07.50. Dagi Thomas also finished eighth in the triple jump at 36-07.00.
Brookings also had two top-ten finishers in the 1600-meter run as John Kahler finished eighth with a time of 4:40.29 and Trevin Lounsbury finished 10th with a time of 4:40.78.
Kennedy Ronning also finished ninth in the girls’ pole vault at 8-06.00.
The Bobcats will host their next meet at the SJAC on Apr. 1.
