East Dakota Water Development District

The East Dakota Water Development District board of directors will meet at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the EDWDD office at 132B Airport Ave. in Brookings. Items on the agenda include:

• Public hearing on the proposed 2025 District Fiscal Budget (11 a.m.)

• Sponsorship request for the 2024 Eastern South Dakota Water Conference on Oct.16

• Updates on district activities

• Other items of interest to EDWDD

Brookings City Council

• It is possible that at least four City Council members may be present for a National Civic League Workshop on Sept. 19 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Dacotah Bank Center. Though a majority of City Council members may be present, no official city business will be acted upon.

• It is possible that at least four City Council members may be present for the pickleball courts ribbon cutting on Sept. 19 from 4:30 to 5 p.m. at Hillcrest Park. Though a majority of City Council members may be present, no official city business will be acted upon.

Brookings Airport Board

The Brookings Airport Board will meet at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the Brookings City & County Government Center at 520 Third St. Items on the agenda include:

Brookings Charter Review Commission

The Brookings Charter Review Commission will meet at 5:30 p.m Thursday in the Brookings City & County Government Center at 520 Third St. Items on the agenda include:

Brookings County Weed and Pest Board

The Brookings County Weed and Pest Board will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the weed shop at 422 Western Ave. The board will tour county roads in the northeastern part of the county and then conduct its regular meeting. Item on the agenda include:
