BROOKINGS — The Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce will hold candidate forums for District 7 and District 8 House of Representatives candidates.

The forums will take place Sept. 28 and will be moderated by Angela Boersma, a former Brookings County commissioner.

The District 7 forum will begin at 9 a.m. in the third floor Chambers of the Brookings City & County Government Center, 520 Third St. The District 8 forum will begin shortly after 10 a.m. District 7 candidates include incumbents Mellissa Heermann (R) and Roger DeGroot (R), as well as Blake Stevens (D), and Fedora Sutton-Butler (D). District 8 candidates include incumbent Tim Reisch (R), as well as Greg Zimmerman (D), and Tim Walburg (R).

The city of Brookings wil broadcast the forum live on the city's TV channel. The forum will also be available for viewing on the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce's YouTube page the Monday following the forum.
