SIOUX FALLS — Dr. Amir Makhmalbaf, an internal medicine provider, recently joined Sanford Health Brookings Clinic.

Makhmalbaf provides primary care to adults through preventive health exams, chronic disease management and general medical care. He treats many chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.

“We are excited to add Dr. Makhmalbaf and his expertise in chronic disease management to our care team in Brookings,” said Amy Hockett, director of Sanford Health Brookings Clinic. “He will be a great addition to our exceptional care team at Sanford Health Brookings Clinic.”

Makhmalbaf graduated from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and completed his residency in internal medicine from Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, N.Y. He is board-certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine.
