The 2022 Class A All-State Legion Baseball Team was released on Tuesday and Brookings had one selection.
Lincoln Hardin made the team as a utility player. Hardin batted .314 and had an on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS) of .858. He had 15 runs batted in, with nine doubles and two triples. Hardin also had 10 stolen bases on the season.
Hardin pitched 35 and a third innings as well. He had an earned run average of 1.189 and a record of 2-2. He had 26 strikeouts and gave up 24 hits and 15 walks. His walks and hits per nine innings (WHIP) was 1.104.
The Bobcats had the No. 1 seed in the 2022 Class A State Tournament after composing a record of 29-11-1 in the regular season. Brookings went 1-2 in the tournament and was eliminated. Rapid City Post 22 won the tournament.
