NEWTON, Kan. – The South Dakota State men’s golf team finished tied for fifth at the Summit League Championship Monday at Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
The Jackrabbits tied with South Dakota as each team shot a total of 892, 28-over par. Denver won the Championship with a one-over, 865. Oral Roberts came in second (+9) and North Dakota State finished in third (+21). Kansas City rounded out the top-five, coming in fourth (+27).
Jack Tanner and Liam Georgladis were the top finishers for the Jacks and finished tied for seventh. They each shot a total of 220. Matthew Schaefer and Will Frazier tied for 20th with a 226. Sam Batta tied for 38th and shot a 237.
Oral Roberts Jackson Howes ran away with the individual title with a 206. Denver’s Jackson Solem and John Sand finished second and third with 213 and 215, respectively. Kansas City’s Cory Teaford and Denver’s Carson Griggs tied for fourth with a 218.
