BROOKINGS – What better way to enjoy a summer evening than watching a parade of pets at the library?

The Brookings Public Library will host its second annual Pet Parade at 6:30 p.m. July 21 along Sixth Avenue, in front of the Brookings County Courthouse.

Bring your pet and let them strut their stuff or just come to watch. Participants can dress up their pet, display a talent, or just let their fluffy friend shine as they stroll past a crowd and a panel of librarian judges. Prizes will be awarded for best in show and community favorite.

All ages are welcome, Registration is required for participants wishing to enter their pets. Contact the library starting July 11 to register.

No registration is required for those who just want to watch. Just show up with a chair or blanket and get ready for a night of cuteness.
