The Rangers beat Sioux Falls (1) 5-2 on Friday night at Larson Ice Center before falling 2-1 in overtime to Oahe on Sunday at the Expo Center.
The Capitals are 15-0-0-1 – their lone loss a 2-1 OT setback to the Rangers on Jan. 31 in Brookings.
Brookings (15-1-0-1) closes out the regular season with a trio of home games, taking on Sioux Falls 2 on Friday at 8 p.m., Watertown on Saturday at 7 and Sioux Center on Sunday at 1:45.

FORT PIERRE – The Capitals’ Keenan Howard netted the game-winner on an assist from Elliot Leif.
Brookings’ Max Kjelden scored with 3:46 left in the second. Talon Richter and Zach Struck assisted.
Leif’s short-handed goal pulled Oahe even 2 minutes later.
Kieran Duffy made 25 saves to earn the win in goal.
Kade Brecher stopped 13 shots for the Rangers.

• Brookings 5, Sioux Falls (1) 2
BROOKINGS – Max Kjelden and Logan Bortnem helped the Rangers build a 3-0 lead en route to the victory.
Kjelden’s unassisted tally 3:43 into the first got it going.
He scored on assists from Bortnem and Trenton Pederson midway through the second.
Bortnem took advantage of a power play less than a minute into the third, finding the back of the net to push the margin to 3-0.
The Flyers made things interesting after that as Jacob Olson scored with 9:04 left and Emmet Hansen lit the lamp with 5:47 remaining. Assists went to Hansen, Nick Gromer and Thomas Clinton.
Bortnem scored again with 42 seconds left to seal the victory.
Ashton Witte added a goal with a second left – the assist went to Alec Rice.
Kade Brecher made 20 saves for the win between the pipes.
Sioux Falls’ Jackson Brunick stopped 23 shots.
