ST. GEORGE, Utah – After the opening round of the Lady Thunderbird Thursday, the South Dakota State women’s golf team is fifth and Sydney Bormann is tied for sixth.

SDSU women’s golf 5th in Utah, Bormann is T6th

ST. GEORGE, Utah – After the opening round of the Lady Thunderbird Thursday, the South Dakota State women’s golf team is fifth and Sydney Bormann is tied for sixth.

The Jackrabbits shot a 304 on the par-72, 5,914-yard Sunbrook Golf Course. California Baptist leads the 14-team field with a 4-over par 292. Oral Roberts’ Sarah Bell leads the 83-player field with a 2-under par 70.

Bormann shot a 1-over par 73 while Mia Seeman is tied for 18th, firing a 76. Cassidy Laidlaw is tied for 23rd (77), Teresa Toscano is tied for 34th (78) and Lani Potter (84) and Sydney Wirebaugh (84) are tied for 71st.

Up Next – Final-round action begins at 10 a.m. Friday.
