SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Valley’s Isabelle Bloker set two State Track & Field Meet records over the weekend and that highlighted the Class A State Track & Field Meet.

Bloker won the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:57.63 and also won the 3200 meter run (10:37.28). The other top-eight finish for the Cossacks on the girls’ side was Adison Renkly in the triple jump and she came in eighth (34-04.00).

Donovan Rose had three top-eight finishes on the boys’ side for the Cossacks. He came in fourth in the 100 meter dash (11.31), fifth in the 110 meter hurdles (15.35) and eighth in the 200 meter dash (24.40). The team of Brock Christopherson, Carson Wosje, Brady Hiltunen and Mitchell Guthmiller finished in fourth in the 4x800 relay (8:21.31).

Flandreau

Brenton Westberry was the only top-eight finisher on the boys’ side for the Fliers and he came in eighth in the 800 meter run (50.93). Faith Wiese finished in third in both the 1600 meter run (5:02.59) and the 3200 meter run (11:05.17). Morgan Sheppard came in third in the 400 meter run (5:02.59).

The team of Ella Hoffman, Kiley Westberry, Sheppard and Wiese came in third in the 1600 sprint medley relay (4:19.42). Wiese, Westberry, Hoffman and Sheppard came in fourth in the 4x400 (4:05.76).

Estelline/Hendricks

Sadie Johnson came in fourth in the pole vault (10-07.00) and seventh in the long jump (16-03.50).

Class AA

The Brookings track & field teams had three top-eight finishes at the Class AA State Track & Field Meet over the weekend.

Logan Smidt came in fourth in the javelin throw with a throw of 118 feet and 10 inches. Ernest Ting came in fourth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:00.09.

The team of Nathan Smith, Ting, Trevin Lounsbury and Jacob Kahler finished in eighth in the 4x800 meter relay (8:19.95).
