Third Sunday Breakfast participants chosen in Brookings

The George Dokken Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Post No. 2118 have selected organizations that will participate in the Third Sunday Breakfast program for the 2024-2025 year.

The following non profit organizations that were selected are:

  • August will be the Brookings School District Foundation
  • Brookings Police Department Foundation in September
  • In October will be the Brookings Pink Ladies
  • In November will be the Brookings Chapter of General Foundation of Women’s Clubs
  • The Brookings High School PTA in December
  • Starting the new year will have the Brookings Boy Scout Troop No. 1 helping serve the breakfast
  • In February the Brookings Figure Skating Club was selected
  • In March the breakfast will be prepared and served by the VFW Auxiliary members

The breakfast will consist of two entries: pancakes or biscuits and gravy along with three sausages, scrambled eggs, juice and coffee.

The single entree is $8 and both entrees are $10. Children ages 3 to 8 eat for $4 and children 2 and under eat for free.
