BROOKINGS — The Brookings Police Department again conducted alcohol compliance checks on area on- and off-sale liquor licensees. Of the 10 establishments checked, three sold alcohol to a minor.
Deuces Casino, La Cantina and Guadalajara — all on Sixth Street — sold alcoholic beverages to minors on April 25, according to a news release from the BPD.
Eight other businesses were checked on April 10, with four failing.
According to the South Dakota Department of Revenue, fines and penalties can be imposed on licensees, clerks and those who furnish alcohol to underage individuals. Complete details can be found online at https://tinyurl.com/ytr9dejf.
