BROOKINGS — South Dakota State University’s School of Performing Arts invites the community to a recital featuring Patricia Pierce Visiting Artist in Residence Xun Xu and accompanist Helena Aung in a performance of timeless classics for violin and piano.

Artist in residence to present recital Sunday in Brookings

BROOKINGS — South Dakota State University’s School of Performing Arts invites the community to a recital featuring Patricia Pierce Visiting Artist in Residence Xun Xu and accompanist Helena Aung in a performance of timeless classics for violin and piano.

The performance will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 16, in Founders Recital Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center. The program includes violin sonatas by Bach, Mozart and Brahms.

Xu is currently completing a doctorate in music at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Aung is a doctoral graduate in piano at the same institution. The recital is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the SDSU School of Performing Arts at 605-688-5187.
