VOLGA — The theft of a motorized trail bike valued at $5,300 in Volga is being investigated by the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred in the 300 block of East Third Street between noon Monday and 4 p.m. Tuesday, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring wrote in a Thursday news release. It was reported at 2:42 p.m. Wednesday.
Sebring said an unknown individual entered the property and used a nearby plank to load the 2023 Kawasaki KLX230R into a vehicle and left. The owner described the bike as being green and having approximately 15 hours on the machine.
