PIERRE – Finally!

The Bobcat track and field team, along with 21 other squads, got back outside as they competed in Thursday’s Legion Relays at Pierre.

Ellie Abraham won the 1,600-meter run in 5 minutes, 9.76 seconds, and then, placed second in the 800 in 2:23.02.

Ashley Anderson finished third in the discus with a throw of 102 feet, 3 inches, while Amanda Schulte put the shot 35-4 for sixth.

Emily Rystrom crossed in 27.76 for fourth in the 200 as Ellie Hegdahl finished fourth in the 300 hurdles in 49.56.

Kailee Bartels’ 16.66 in the 100 hurdles was good for eighth and the Bobcat girls brought home medals in three relays with a sixth-place finish in the 4x800 (10:37.05) and eighth-place spots in both the 4x100 (52.43) and 4x400 (4:22.82).

On the boys’ side, Isaac Conrad crossed in 2:04.86 for fifth in the 800; Dillon Jensen put the shot 46-9 for sixth; and Seth Swedlund tied for eighth in the high jump with a mark of 6 feet.

The 4x400 relay placed eighth with a time of 3:48.39.
