BROOKINGS – The Bobcat girls’ tennis team opened the season Thursday, falling 8-1 to Milbank and 9-0 to Yankton.
Brookings returns to action hosting Mitchell on Monday at 11 a.m.

Bobcats Heather Rudd defeated Marian Mischel 10-7 in the No. 6 singles match.
Milbank’s Halli Essington dropped Skylor Ness 10-1 in No. 1 singles action and then teamed with Hattie Muellenbach for a 10-5 No. 1 doubles victory versus Ness and Tristina Ting.
