HURON – The Bobcats won a pair of events to conclude the regular season at the Mark Wendelgass Invitational Track and Field Meet on Thursday.
The Class AA State Track and Field Meet is Friday, May 24, at Brandon Valley High School and Saturday, May 25, at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls.
Girls
Emily Rystrom prevailed in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.81 seconds.
Brookings won the 4x200-meter relay in 1:49.78.
Placing second were Kayla Shoup in the 800 (2:24.76), Kailee Bartels in the 100-meter hurdles (15.5), Rachel Gannon in the triple jump (35 feet, 0.25 inches) and Ashley Anderson in the discus (105-5).
Boys
Isaac Conrad finished second in the 800 meters in 2:03.96 and Sam Conrad matched that finish in the 1,600 with a 4:35.38 clocking.
