BROOKINGS – The Bombers Black split a doubleheader with Huron on Thursday at Mickelson Field, winning the opener 12-9 before falling 15-13 in six innings in the nightcap.
Brookings (5-3) hits the road to face the Watertown Black Sox in a twinbill Monday at 5 p.m.
Sunday’s scheduled doubleheader at Harrisburg was postponed.

The Bombers Black scored seven consecutive runs to build a 12-3 advantage through six innings before holding off Huron.
The guests put up a six-spot in the top of the seventh.
Nathan Lease went 2-for-2 with a walk and two RBIs.
Justin Cofell had one hit and drove in a pair of runs. Jaxton Eck tallied two hits and one RBI.
Zach Struck was 1-for-1 with three walks, three runs scored and an RBI. Trenton Pederson tripled and drove in a run.
Parker Winghart, Rocklyn Dauphinais and Andrew Bishop added RBIs. Isaac Schulte had the team’s other hit.
Lease threw five innings to earn the win on the mound, giving up three runs – two earned – on four hits with seven strikeouts and a walk. Dauphinais tossed the final two frames.

Huron scored twice in the top of the sixth to secure the victory. The visitors racked up 20 hits in the game.
Lease led the Bombers Black, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Bishop and Eck both doubled and drove in two runs. Pederson added two hits and an RBI.
Winghart, Matt Nordmeyer and Carter Wright each contributed a hit and an RBI. Cofell singled.
Pederson, the third of four Brookings pitchers, took the loss after allowing five runs on three hits and three walks with one strikeout in 1 2/3 innings.
