ELKTON – Elkton-Lake Benton rallied to beat Dell Rapids St. Mary 76-70 in a Dakota Valley Conference boys’ basketball game Tuesday night.
ELB was up 20-15 after 8 minutes; however, DRSM led 36-29 at halftime and 52-47 through three.
The Elks outscored the Cardinals 29-18 in the final stanza to improve to 7-1, including 4-0 in league games.
Matthew Nibbe led a balanced attack with 20 points, Mason Gaumer and Aiden Erickson both scored 14 points and Miles Harming contributed 13.
Gaumer grabbed seven rebounds and Nibbe corralled six as both players also dished out three assists.
The Cardinals’ Connor Libis poured in 32 points and Ashaun Roach-Valandra had 23.
ELB plays at Arlington on Friday.
