ARLINGTON – Nate Tolley had a hand in four touchdowns as Colman-Egan blasted Arlington/Lake Preston 40-0 in the Dakota Valley Conference title game Friday night to cap an undefeated regular season.
Tolley ran 11 times for 95 yards with a pair of TDs while going 6-of-9 for 110 yards with two scores through the air.
Eli Bowen picked up 164 yards on 13 rushes with a score and added a touchdown catch.
The Hawks held a 482-176 advantage in total yards of offense, including 372-145 on the ground.
Tolley found the end zone from 13 yards out and later hit Bowen for a 33-yard score to make it 12-0 after a quarter.
Dalton Voelker, who had two receptions covering 69 yards, caught a 50-yard TD toss from Tolley in the second. Chase Hemmer added a 5-yard scoring plunge. Colman-Egan converted both two-point conversions in the second period to grab a 28-0 halftime advantage.
The Hawks closed out the scoring in the third and touchdown runs of 11 yards by Tolley and 48 yards by Bowen.
The Badgers’ Gavin Holland picked up 64 yards on the ground.
Colman-Egan (Class 9B) improved to 8-0.
Arlington/Lake Preston (Class 9AA) finished the regular season with a 4-4 record.
The playoffs begin Thursday.

The Cardinals (7-1) topped the Raiders (4-4) for third.

Fifth place
• De Smet 28, Elkton-Lake Benton 0
ELTKON – The Bulldogs blanked the Elks to close the regular season.
De Smet improved to 4-4.
ELB ended up with a 1-7 mark.
Seventh place
• Castlewood 58, Deubrook Area 36
WHITE – The Warriors broke open a tie game, outscoring the Dolphins 29-6 in the second quarter to grab a 45-22 advantage en route to the victory.
Castlewood had 437 yards of offense and Deubrook totaled 378.
Carson Kirwan ran 22 times for 160 yards and five touchdowns in the win. He had TD rushes of 5, 1, 3, 49 and 1 yards.
Kaden Eng had a 61-yard TD run and a 5-yard scoring catch. He totaled 135 yards on six receptions. Garret Kerkvliet added a 14-yard TD grab. Tristan Nielson threw for two scores.
Eng tallied 10 tackles and Jonah Wiersma added seven.
The Dolphins’ Trace Vierhuf picked up 173 yards on 26 rushes and scored on runs of 5, 10 and 24 yards.
Tyler Berndt had 15-yard TD tosses to Cooper Holmlund and Dominic Lacek.
Deubrook finished the year 0-8.
Castlewood is now 3-5.
