South Dakota State swimming and diving first-year head coach Doug Humphrey announced Wednesday the hiring of Elyse Brouillette as the Jackrabbits' first-ever fulltime diving coach for the SDSU program.
"I am extremely excited to have Elyse join our staff," Humphrey said. "She will have an opportunity to lead our diving program to new heights. Her background, experience, knowledge will be quite an asset to SDSU."
Brouillette comes from Iowa State after spending the last year as a volunteer diving coach. She also served as head coach for the Iowa Twister dive club.
Before serving as a volunteer coach, Brouillette spent four years diving for the Cyclones. She owns the school record on the one-meter board, is second in school history on the three-meter board and sits third on platform.
Brouillette served as team captain for two years and was named Big 12 Diver of the Week five times. She capped off her career with four-straight appearances at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships.
The Omaha, Nebraska, earned a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies from Iowa State in 2016.
