The Jackrabbits are now 14-23 overall and 1-5 in Summit League play.

VERMILLION – South Dakota State dropped an 8-0, six-inning contest to South Dakota in the weekend finale Sunday at Nygaard Field.
The Jackrabbits are now 14-23 overall and 1-5 in Summit League play.
SDSU had just two hits on the day – singles by Brittney Morse and Yanney Ponce – while Ali Herdliska walked.
Ashlyn Bender (6-9) took the loss, throwing 1 1/3 innings with four runs allowed before Madison Hope entered and tossed the final 4 1/3 frames, giving up four runs (two earned) with a strikeout.
The Coyotes’ Megan Green pitched a two-hit shutout, striking out one and walking one.
Christy Warnock went 3-for-4 with four RBIs. She had a two-run double in the fourth and a two-run walkoff home run with two outs in the sixth.
Shelby Keil hit a two-run homer in the first.
In the second inning, Morgan Vasa, who finished with two hits, had an RBI double and Jamie Holscher added a run-scoring single. Emily Winckler also doubled.
South Dakota State is back in action Wednesday at 2 p.m. with a doubleheader against North Dakota in Grand Forks.
Saturday
Game 1
• USD 7, SDSU 6 (8 inn.)
Abby Deane started and threw into the second before she was replaced by Madison Hope. Deane allowed three runs while Hope gave up three runs – one earned – with two strikeouts. Ashlyn Bender (6-8) pitched the eighth and was dealt the loss.
Emily Ensrud went 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs. Ali Herdliksa was 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles. Mallory McQuistan went 2-for-3. Julia Andersen and Erin Mullen also drove in runs for the Jacks.
Kayla Fields had a walkoff single with one out in the bottom of the eighth. Christy Warnock, who led off the inning by drawing a walk, scored the winning run.
Camille Fowler finished 3-for-4 with a walk. Fields, Shelby Keil and Morgan Vasa added two hits apiece. Fields and Warnock both totaled two RBIs.
Megan Green pitched five scorless innings of relief to earn the win in the circle.
SDSU led 6-5 through three innings. USD tied it at 6-all in the sixth.
Game 2
• SDSU 10, USD 3
Deane (8-12) tossed a complete game, scattering five hits with three runs allowed and six strikeouts.
Mallory McQuistan was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, including a two-run home run. Murphy was 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI double, while Ensrud had two hits and two RBI. Ali Herdliska added a solo home run.
SDSU broke through in the top of the second, taking a 1-0 lead on Mullen's two-out RBI single.
The Jackrabbits moved ahead 4-0 in the fourth and were up 8-2 after five.
USD’s Jessica Rogers went 2-for-3 with a homer and two runs scored.
