Al Austreim the best choice for Brookings

Posted

I am writing to express my wholehearted endorsement of Al Austreim for the upcoming City Council election. As a 50-plus year resident of Brookings and a long-time employee of Brookings Municipal Utilities, I have had the privilege of witnessing the interworkings of local government and the importance of innovative city policy and community engagement.

Al Austreim has consistently demonstrated his deep understanding of the challenges facing our city and I know will work tirelessly to find solutions that benefit all residents. He brings a wealth of expertise and a fresh perspective on sustainable land management practices and development. His small business background embodies the qualities of innovation, diligence, and community-mindedness that are essential for effective governance.

Al’s expertise in landscaping is a valuable asset for our city, particularly in addressing issues related to housing planning, green spaces, and sustainable development. He understands the importance of preserving our natural environment while fostering responsible growth and economic development. His background as a small business owner demonstrates his ability to navigate complex, challenges, make tough decisions, and drive results.

I urge the residents of Brookings to consider the strong qualities and qualifications that Al Austreim brings to the table. I know I’m supporting a leader who will prioritize the interests of our community, advocate for responsible growth, and work tirelessly to build a better future for all residents. You can vote now until April 8 at the Brookings City and County Building from 8:00 am-5:00 pm or on Election Day, April 9.
