RAPID CITY – Sioux Falls Roosevelt cheer and Sioux Falls Washington dance claimed titles at the Class AA State Competitive Spirit Competition on Saturday at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
The Rough Riders posted a score of 293.5 – tying Sioux Valley’s all-class state meet record from a year ago. O’Gorman (288.5), Harrisburg (281), Brandon Valley (279.5) and Washington (265.5) rounded out the top five.
Brookings was sixth at 264.
In dance, the Warriors posted a 394.75 to edge the Lynx (392.5) for their sixth title in a row.
The Bobcats took 15th with a 279.
They were ninth in pom (289) and 12th in hip hop (269).
