Jasper Grey Chambers, age four months and twenty-one days, died in his sleep from apparent sudden infant death syndrome on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018.

Funeral services are at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Eidsness Funeral Home.  Visitations will begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and continue until the time of the service.

Jasper was born Aug. 21, 2017, in Aberdeen, to his loving parents, Stephanie Craft and Bradley Chambers.  He was born on the solar eclipse, just 45 minutes after his cousin (Hayslee Diane).  Jasper was a very happy baby who loved bath time, snuggling, and tickle time.  His biggest smiles came from his parents singing to him and holding him up-side-down while playing.

Jasper touched many lives during his short time here.  He loved riding in the car and sharing his toys with his puppy, Lichen.  Jasper cherished his older siblings, as they also cherished him. Jasper was dearly loved and cared for by his daycare provider.  A relationship that his family will treasure forever.  You could say his favorite color was grey. His crib, room, clothes, and even his middle name would give that away.

Jasper celebrated his first Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years with great joy.  He loved Christmas so much that he even tried eating the wrapping paper.   At 8:59 p.m. on November 17, 2017, Jasper rolled over for the very first time.

Jasper will be forever loved by his parents, Stephanie Craft and Brad Chambers; siblings, Gage, Adalynn, Adyson; maternal grandparents, Lisa Kucker of Watertown, Ron and Josie Craft of Bloomington, Texas; maternal great-grandparents, Barry Craft of Texas and Dick Anderson of Red Oak, Iowa; paternal grandparents, Ben and Marilyn Chambers of Watertown; paternal great-grandparents, Anna Mae Lee of Sioux Falls and Lorene Chambers of Watertown; aunts  and Uncles, Audrey and Ethan Urban of Watertown, Debra and Leo Alvarado of Plainview, Texas, Lindsey and Tyler Steinkamp of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; cousins, Paige, Olivia, Hayslee, (Audrey and Ethan) - Bella, Addison, Lea, Emmalee (Debra and Leo).

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmothers Diane Anderson of Red Oak, Iowa, and Rose Craft; and his paternal great-grandfather, Eugene Lee of Sioux Falls.
