The Estelline/Hendricks Redhawks finished in fourth place as the SDHSAA Class B Girls State Golf Tournament concluded at Edgebrook Golf Course on Tuesday morning.

BROOKINGS — The Estelline/Hendricks Redhawks finished in fourth place as the SDHSAA Class B Girls State Golf Tournament concluded at Edgebrook Golf Course on Tuesday morning.

The Redhawks concluded the tournament with a team score of 275 on Tuesday, giving them a two-day total of 556. Ayla Texley led the way for Estelline/Hendricks, shooting an 87 in the second round for a two-day tournament total of 180 to finish tied for 13th place.

Sadie Johnson finished tied for 24th in the tournament, shooting an 89 on Tuesday for a two-day total of 186. Lita Fryer tied for 50th place shooting a 106 in the second round for a tournament total of 197 and Rachel Hexum rounded out the team scoring, shooting a 99 on Tuesday and finishing in 61st place with a total score of 203.

Two Deubrook Area golfers also competed in the tournament. Brooklyn Gladis concluded the tournament with a score of 91 giving her a total score of 190 that was good for 35th in the tournament.

Brynnlee Hanson shot a 100 on Tuesday for a tournament total of 192 to finish tied for 37th place.

Chester won the Class B team title shooting a 264 on Tuesday for a two-day total of 514. Miller finished second with a total score of 527 and Clark/Willow Lake finished third with a team total of 545. Jones County rounded out the top five with a team score of 564.

Clark/Willow Lake’s Brynn Roehrich won the team title with a two-day score of 152 while Jayce Pugh finished second with a total score of 158. Jadyn McDonald finished third with a score of 159, Selby Area’s Taryn Hettick finished fourth with a total score of 172 and Deuel’s Annika Kriz, Olivia Olson of Sully Buttes, Maddy Lauck of McCook Central/Montrose and Potter County’s Olivia Mikkelsen finished tied for fifth place with a score of 173.
