Ronald Smith, 78, Flandreau,  peacefully died at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 19.  

Ron is survived by his wife Val, and their three children Ammy (Tony) Counterman, Sioux Falls, Scott Smith of Austin, Texas, and Scott (Christy) Thomson, Edgerton, Minnesota; grandchildren, Kailee, Kaden, Cole, Corrie, and Tanner; siblings, Terry Smith, Doug (Tracey) Smith all of Lake Campbell, Steve (Georgie) Smith of Sioux Falls, and Sylvia (Greg) Alberts of Flandreau. 

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau. A private family burial service will be held on Thursday.
