• 2:10 a.m. The Brookings Police Department assisted the Brookings County Sheriffs Office with an assault investigation.
• 9:27 p.m. An accident was reported on private property. No injuries reported. A city report was taken.
• 9:40 p.m. Brookings Police conducted a welfare check.

Sunday, May 26

• 1:20 a.m. Officers responded to the 400 block of Main Avenue for an assault. A report was filed.
• 4:09 a.m. A simple assault was reported to the Brookings Police Department. Medical attention was declined. The incident is still under investigation.
• 7:14 a.m. Officers responded to the 1700 block of Christine Avenue for the report of an assault. One individual was taken into custody.
• 1:45 p.m. An officer responded to the 300 block of Medary Avenue South to take a report of a no-contact order violation.
• 4:04 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a non-injury crash report.
• 6:45 p.m. An accident was reported near the intersection of Sixth Stret and Sunrise Ridge Road. No injuries were reported. A state report will be completed.
• 7:04 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of 8th Street and Henry Avenue for an intoxicated male lying down in the boulevard. The intoxicated male was transported to the Brookings County Detention Center and placed on a protective custody hold.
