Sunday, June 30

  • 1:51 a.m. Officers arrested two individuals for various charges.
  • 3:03 a.m. Officers took a report for a hit and run with damaged property.
  • 7:07 a.m. Police took a theft report.
  • 11:14 a.m. Law enforcement took a report of a person using fake money.
  • 2:24 p.m. Officers responded to a two- vehicle, non-injury accident occurring in the 2100 block of Eighth Street South. A report was completed.
  • 6:42 p.m. Officers responded to a non-injury accident one person arrested for DUI.
  • 8:48 p.m. Officers took a report of a vandalism.
  • 10:37 p.m. Officers responded to a mental health call.

Monday, July 1

  • 12:02 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a disturbance. The case is still under investigation.
  • 12:46 a.m. Officers took a report of vandalism.
  • 7:03 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle was stolen from the 700 block of Seventh Avenue.
  • 8:08 a.m. A financial institution requested officers to assist with a male with mental health concerns.
  • 9:28 a.m. A report was made of theft of lottery tickets from a gas station in Brookings. The incident is still under investigation.
  • 9:33 a.m. Officers responded to the 900 block of Second Avenue for a domestic disturbance. A report was filed.
  • 9:36 a.m. Police took a report of missing property.
  • 12:56 p.m. Police responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.
  • 5:10 p.m. An accident was reported on Sixth Street and I-29 (132 exit ramp) A state report will be completed.
  • 10:35 a.m. Officers responded to the 600 block of Fourth Street for a suspected DUI.

Tuesday, July 2

  • 9:30 a.m. A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. It was towed for no insurance,
  • 9:48 a.m. Officers received a report regarding a burglary. A report was filed.
  • 10:15 a.m. A caller reported that a family member took her kids.
  • 1:10 p.m. A non-reportable accident was called in to the Brookings Police Department. One party was not on-scene. Information was documented for followup at a later time.

Wednesday, July 3

  • 7:17 a.m. Officers took a report of a stop-arm violation.
  • 6:58 p.m. Officers took a report of shoplifting..

Thursday, July 4

  • 1:22 p.m. Officers made a warrant arrest.
  • 2:14 p.m. Law enforcement arrested a female for in-county warrant.
  • 2:27 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to the 700 Block of 22nd Avenue South for a report of a fictitious driver’s license. A report was created.
  • 6:45 p.m. Officers took a traffic complaint. The vehicle was later located and the driver was arrested for DUI.
  • 11:59 p.m. Officers made a traffic stop and a driver was arrested for DUI.

Friday, July 5

  • 1:52 a.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a one-vehicle accident that occurred in the 800 block of Southland Lane. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI.
  • 2:46 a.m. Officers responded to a welfare check one person arrested for a probation hold.
  • 10:27 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident.
  • 11:12 a.m. Officers responded to a vandalism report.
  • 11:51 p.m. The Brookings Police Department received a missing person report.

Saturday, July 6

  • 12 a.m. Officers took a report of harassment.
  • 12:12 a.m. Officers made a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for DUI.
  • 1:37 a.m. Officers took an individual into custody for drug charges.
  • 4:53 a.m. Officers responded to an alleged assault. One individual was arrested.
  • 2:09 p.m. Officers performed a traffic stop.
  • 3: 51 p.m. Officers responded to an ambulance call.
  • 6;30 p.m. Officers took a report of a minor two vehicle collision.
