Monday, July 15

  • 9:47 a.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted an investigation into sexual assault. During the investigation, a male individual was arrested.
  • 11:21 a.m. Police received a referral from Social Services.
  • 12:33 p.m. Brookings police assisted South Dakota Highway Patrol with an investigation.
  • 3:27 p.m. An accident was reported to the Brookings Police Department. No injuries were reported. A state report was completed.
  • 3:54 p.m. Police responded to a dispute between neighbors.
  • 6:55 p.m. BPD officers responded to a report of shoplifting.
  • 8:06 p.m. BPD officers responded to a report of theft from a vehicle.
  • 8:34 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a harassment report.
  • 9:49 p.m. An individual called to report stalking. A report was filed.

Tuesday, July 16

  • 9:40 a.m. The CSO unit received a call from the Avera Clinic about a cat bite that occurred on July 15.
  • 9:51 a.m. Officers responded to an alleged assault.
  • 11:43 a.m. A report was made to the BPD of assault. No injuries were reported. The incident is still under investigation.
  • 11:50 a.m. Officers took a report of stolen packages from an apartment complex.
  • 12:21 p.m. A report was made at the Brookings Police Department of a violation of a no-contact bond order. The incident is still under investigation.
  • 1:25 p.m. A traffic accident was reported to the Brookings Police Department. Minor injuries were reported. One vehicle was towed due to damage.
  • 9:22 p.m. Officers cited an individual for petty theft.
  • 10:12 p.m. Officers took a report of an alleged assault.
  • 10:21 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of theft.
