Crosswait, Roberts and Jace Morgan followed that with back-to-back-to-back doubles that scored six more runs to make it 18-8. The Bandits went down one-two-three in the fourth but had runners on first and second with two outs in the fifth. They needed to score two runs to extend the game and were unable to do so.

Brookings had eight hits as a team. Schneider was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Clark was 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Fredreich was 1-for-2 with an RBI and Bauer was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Struck and Johnson were each 1-for-3.
